Meet Janice
Hi there, I am Janice, a parent coach and social-emotional specialist for families with infants - middle school-aged children. I am a mother of three, a girl who is ten years old and two boys who are eight and six. My children are the biggest reason I am here today as a parent coach. First, a little background about myself, I have a BA in Fine Arts and Graphic Design. I currently reside near Stanford University with my family.
Since my first child was born, I decided to pause my career as an art director and immerse myself in all sorts of parenting workshops and events because - parenting is not easy! First, my daughter presented a set of challenges from sleep training to potty training to the “terrific twos” phase, you name it. Then my second child came along, and I started taking early childhood education courses at a local community college. I am a happy mom with no help from nannies or grandparents.
I am a licensed school counselor (PPS) pursuing a second master’s degree in Clinical Counseling at Northwestern University, specializing in children and adolescents. Why school counseling? I love working with children, and one of my goals is to advocate for mental health needs. Many studies have shown that children suffering from stress have become a trend. My goal as a mom besides raising happy and healthy children, is to develop close bonds with each of my children. As a parent coach, I aim to share what I learned and the experiences I have collected over the past years with you. My three kids attend independent schools in the Bay Area, and I am happy to share my knowledge with you. Thank you for inviting me to be part of your parenting journey.
